Nelson Rodrigues's Wedding Dress is a landmark play from 1943 about a young bride, Alaíde, who, on her deathbed after a car accident, experiences a non-linear blend of memories, hallucinations, and dreamlike sequences that reveal hidden familial conflicts, repressed desires, and societal taboos.
